World Flu Day was founded by Prof George F. Gao (Professor, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention; Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences), Prof. Kwok-Yung Yuen (Chair Professor, The University of Hong Kong), Prof. Yoshihiro Kawaoka (Professor of the University of Wisconsin and University of Tokyo), Mark von ltzstein (Professor of Griffith University, Australia), and other leading influenza experts. During this World Flu Day and China-Japan Bilateral Symposium, we will raise public awareness of influenza and other respiratory viruses and bring together basic scientists and clinicians to discuss latest developments in diagnostics, therapeutics, vaccines, virology and immunology of influenza and other respiratory viruses.
